Bear World

Since Gary wasn't able to have time off at Spring Break, we took the girls out of school on Friday and packed up the minivan and headed to Idaho ( about 4 1/2 hrs away) to catch up with the Thueson Family .... On Friday we went to Rexburg before heading to the Thuesons at Ammon (near Idaho Falls) on the way up we past BEAR WORLD, but it was closed....

They were having their opening weekend for the season on Saturday , so we headed back there on Saturday...You drive around through the park (windows up) and the bears just walk around, minding their own business

Some were sleeping and sitting in the sun (yes it was a nice day, even though it snowed on Friday)....
Others just walked around and never stayed in the same spot and you had to keep the car moving, they didn't want you to come to a complete stop..

After you drove around they had a another section of the park where the baby cubs were, they like the older bears wouldn't stay still either...

They also had a Petting Zoo, where you could go pat and feed all different kinds of animals..

Gary's favourite animal in the petting zoo was this Pig.. He waved this tail just like a dog every time Gary spoke to him...

They even had a couple of rides you could go on , when you wanted a break from the animalsSince it was there Opening weekend for the season they also held an Easter egg hunt..

Eden didn't know what to do,she was just happy following Ashlyn....

We had a blast at Bear World and VERY glad that we drove back and spent some time there...
