Not only did the church leaders have a busy week... So did the gardeners taking care of the grounds.. Gary reckons they painted the grass... There was new flowers every where..
Because you have to be 8yrs old to go into the conference ( because they record the talks) Gaz and myself took in turns to go into the conference.... You could go and watch it in the tabernacle next door or sit and have a picnic on the grass outside and listen to it being stream throughout Temple Square..
I went in first with Phebe and Eliza, so Gaz and Eden just sat outside and Ededn would play with anyone.. That's Eden she has turned into the social butterfly. Will just go up to any kids and start talking to them (in her own little language)....
When it was my turn to look after Eden outside , I just wanted to take some photo's........
At the end of each session there was HUGE lines for people without tickets hoping to get in..
I was really nervous asking people if they wanted my 1 ticket.. After a while i decided to approach these group of people.. I asked a group of four (2 girls,2 guys) if they would like my 1 ticket..
One of the girls had just joined the church and her friends said that she should go in by herself.. You could she that she was nervous and was unsure.. Soon after her boyfriend ran with her down to the doors and she was going to attend her 1st conference.... I gave the other couple our Sunday afternoon session tickets, so they could All go together...
I hope they enjoyed the session...
Eden with a sister missionary... She wanted to teach Eden about Jesus and Eden just wanted to teach her about Tinkerbell......
5 minutes of sitting time and then she was of... I just wanted to take photo's and listen......
Since Gaz wanted to attend the night session we decided it would be a good idea to stay at a hotel for the night... We had woken up to snow the next morning, so we got a late checkout and Eden and I stayed in the room and watched the conference on TV....
After Conference we went out to lunch with Tassie born Brad Prebble.. Brad has lived 26 years in Tassie and 26 years in USA... but still sounds like an Aussie... i had a wild mushroom pizza.. YUMMO
It was also great to attend Conference in person..
The talks have something for everyone and messages just for YOU!!!!!!
So attend the video sessions this weekend... you never know you might see us in the crowd!!!!!
Looks like it's starting to warm up a little now :) What a big weekend!!! Can't wait for Sunday morning session!!!
