This week Eliza turned 12 and when you turn 12 you can go to the temple and do baptisms.. Provo Temple was closed, Eliza's 2nd choice (Salt Lake Temple) was also closed for summer maintenance. So we decided to go to the Draper Temple (40 mins away)..
When Phebe turned 12 we took her to the Melbourne Temple just by ourselves, so Phebe stayed home with Eden and babysat with Anna......Next time we will ALL together....
Great Temple, Great weather and a GREAT Day all round...
Eliza's thoughts:
The temple is pretty inside and out, A funny part of the trip is that I put the white suit back to front. I confirmed 5 people, I also baptized 5 people. A lot of people cry in temple but I shake. I was very nervous. I loved the temple trip. It was the best!!!!

Burger Birthday!
Today is Eliza's 12th Birthday and this is how her day went...... Woke up early (this has never happened before in the holidays) opened presents... Basketball Shorts, a book about a girl called Eliza, itunes gift voucher, bracelet and some YW's church things....Then a cupcake (breakfast) from the Lloyd Family.. Then off to bowling and some lunch outside in the sun...
Stayed outside nearly all afternoon with our friends and then I went and picked up Gaz and the cake.. (Target $10, sorry Kylie I didn't make it!!).After cake, more playing and chatting.. Phebe had to go to a Young Women BBQ and Susan looked after Eden so the three of us went out for dinner... Eliza picked "Red Robin"...
We hadn't been there before and it just happens that it was famous for it's burgers... The fries were nice too!!
Sorry there is no more pictures. Gaz had the camera with him as it was the last day of the summer writing Project....
When you turn 12 in the church you get to do some cool things..
And Eliza will be a guest blogger about it tomorrow!!!
Stay tunned.........

Aquaruim.....
After reading Lisa's blog about her family trip to the aquarium, I decided to google to see if there was an aquarium in Utah. I found one in Sandy about 4o mins away.
So Susan and I packed our kids (with our discounted coupons) in our cars and headed to Sandy..
Anna, Sadie and Eden enjoyed patting the stingrays..I loved the jellyfish...
And of course BRUCE was there.....But the best bit was the penguins. Sorry the video isn't that good, but I enjoyed watching them...

The Awful Waffle
Saturday morning is always a good time to have time away from the Walls of Wymount. So Susan thought we would check out the newest small business in Provo. The Awful Waffle has just opened and has had heaps of good reviews.. (check out the blue sky !!)
When ever I go out with Susan where you give the attendant your name for you're order Susan will use a random name. So we were "hot mama" and "super woman"....
The menu is so great...
Step 1: pick waffle or crepe
Step2: Pick your toppings
Step 3: Choose your drink..
Look at me I'm so happy...
I had waffle, with banana's, syrup, nutella and cream with a glass of milk..Susan had a crepe with Strawberries and nutella. I think Susan is going to buy a squeeze bottle and a big jar of nutella....
I love this place and the more I explore Provo I find little eating places like this that is good value and have friendly staff..
We did feel guilty for about 5 mins about not taking the children there, but will take them this week if they are good......

Color Guard...
One of Phebe's friends does "Colour Guard" , these are the girls that are holding the coloured flags. Sarah is moving soon and won't be attending Timpview in august but Phebe will be starting grade 9. We have always joked with her that she should try out for Cheer Leading, but she isn't that keen.
So I'm now thinking maybe she should try out for Colour Guard.
What do you think???

Marching bands and Beauty Queens..
Provo held the 4th July " Utah Valley" Parade, all week there had been this build up towards the weekend. We were reading on the website that you could start camping out along the street at 3pm the day before. Or pay $7 for a seat in the stand. We didn't go for either option, instead Susan went and laid the blankets out along the parade route at 6am the day of the parade. We got up an early to go and see the hot air balloon's ( it was to windy, so no balloon photo's) but by 7am the crowds were thick.. People had sleeping overnight to get a front row spot, even with our 6am effort we were at the back.. but we were close to to Port-a-loos.
Susan's sister Shannon came along and brought everyone breakfast, Cotton Candy..
People were watching from every view point!!
There were alot of horses in the parade and some floats advertising upcoming events..
Susan daughter Sarah was a COLOUR GUARD person in the Timpview High School Band, we were excited to see her do her stuff. There was heaps of school marching bands...
And Beauty Queens....
It was a great parade but by the end of it I was over the whole crowd and it was hot and a long walk back to the car and then lots of traffic..
Over all we had a great 4th July weekend...

Half Time....
This weekend is the 4th of July celebrations and has made me think of Tasmania and Australia Day. This weekend has also made me homesick for the VERY first time, yes I did miss Tassie but was having too much fun so I guess I wasn't really thinking about it much, but last night watching the fireworks made me think of camping down Bridport and hanging out with everyone. Also July is our half way mark.. Our time here here is almost over, so I thought I would look back at some of our time here...
