Our first stop on our recent
road trip was at COVE FORT...
It was
built in 1867 so that travellers would have somewhere to stop between Beaver and Fillmore in Utah.
Built by Ira
Hinckley (President
Hinckley's Grandfather) it housed up to 75 travellers at a time...
Brighman Young was a frequent guest..
The tours are run by Missionary Couples and they told us
alot about how the pioneers had to make everything themselves.. No
Bunnings back then...
Check Out the size of the bath.. Back then no fresh water for each person, first was the cleanest person (mother) and the baby was last....
Cove Fort is a great place to stop and makes you really appreciate all the things we have these days..
GREAT photos!! I can see a 'Lisa Woodward Photography' page starting up soon! :)
