East high..

On Friday we decided to take Gary to the Zoo up in Salt Lake, we have been there a couple of times already but never with Gary.. The girls were excited but not because of the Zoo.... but because we went and took some photo's outside "East High".For anyone who doesn't know what is So special about this High School....
It is the School that "High School Musical" movies were filmed...
Phebe kept on walking around saying "Zac Efron was here, I'm breathing his air"

The girls did enjoy the Zoo too, but Phebe wants to go back and buy a t-shirt from the bookstore...

TOTO......

Part of Gary's "Hardie Fellowship" proposal was that he wanted to attend to NCTE (National Confernce for Teachers of English).. Gary and another 10 thousand lovers of English gathered in Chicago (Eden says "Toto")...
After attending my workshops and getting books signed and making some contacts, he found some time to do a little bit of sight seeing... He really enjoyed the Museum and in general liked the city..

He was talking to a local and was saying to her that" Chicago was a really big city".... The lady replied "I thought there was only 600 000" (current is 2896 016)....

During his visit he still found some time to look up some one's skirt.....

Touchdown....

Saturday night in the freezing cold (the girls stayed at home) Gaz and I headed down to our last football game. It was about 2 degrees and even the over priced hot chocolate didn't warm us up!!!
As you can see it wasn't a sell out game.. I think the weather might have something to do with it.. Six minutes before half time BYU were 24 points in front, so we left and went back and watched the rest on TV..
Thanks for the memories COUGARS!!!!

Liken...

This week Liken released their new DVD... "Jonah and the Great Fish".. They tell Bible stories in a way that is interesting and funny and their production company just happens to be based in Provo.. We were excited to see that they announce a FREE screening and meet the cast night.. We missed out on the 7 pm showing so I registered Gaz, Phebe and Eliza for the 9pm showing..
Another DVD to add to the collection and signed ones at that.. We even brought some for our Tassie friends to add to their collection....LOVE living in Provo...

It's Time.......

Basketball season has started up again... The women's team were playing a home game and the Men were playing up in Logan about 2 hrs away
I love going to the women's games as they don't get as big crowds as the men's and they also have lots of promotions for free admission for $1 or $2 tickets..
Because it was their first game for the season they had a poster signing after the game. We even made it on the BYU Women's Basketball Facebook page..

Hope the women's team has a great season and we will get to see a few games before we leave the land of the Cougars....

Jared and Jac come to visit...

It has been 2 weeks since Jared and Jac came to visit us on their "own American Tour".. I have misplaced a SD card with some photo's that I wanted to use for the blog.. As yet i still haven't found it, but since I haven't done a post for a while (thanks dad for the reminder) I thought I'd better do it..
We stayed around Provo for a couple of days doing lots of eating, seeing local sites, travelling up to Salt Lake, shopping and saying "Ant Jacquie"... Just to annoy Jac after all I did have 10 months to make up.. We had always arrange to go to Vegas with them as they were always going to California from Vegas so on Friday we went on a 5 hr road trip and headed down to Vegas..We stopped of at a couple of church's sites on the way, Cove Fort, St George Temple and the St George Tabernacle..

We had lots of fun looking at the inside and outside of the different themed casino and of course Eden loved having another hand to hold onto...

Vegas consisted of again shopping, eating and lots of "one liners" making it lots of fun..

Thank you to our wonderful friends for coming to visit us we enjoyed every minute of it....
And a special Thank You to Jared for leaving his sunglasses back at the apartment, so now Eliza can go to the dentist!!!!!

halloween....

Last night we dressed up and enjoyed our first Halloween... Gaz went as Donald Trump and I dressed up as a witch..

Eden had a bit of a cold so her princess costume changed a bit, she went as a snow princess in the end so I could put more layers on..

Eliza loved her penguin suit and people channeled her Australian history as a prisoner...

We started out driving up to the "rich area" where they gave out "king size" candy bars.. As you can see the girls scored pretty well.. then we moved around the local area.... It was a fun night with some of the people having fire pots outside and offering the kids marshmallows and making the parents hot chocolates...
It was an awesome night and the weather was nice (it rained last Year).....
One of our friends turned their carport into a haunted house... It was so good we are thinking of doing it next year at our house!!!
