Shout out to the girls....

It's Wednesday night and Phebe was going out to mutual for a "standards night" at the stake center, Eliza was doing homework and Gaz and I were looking at stuff on the net...
I was flicking through the channels and noticed that the Women's BYU Basketball team were playing, so we started watching it on the TV...

Then I started feeling sad as the Men's team were playing an away game (it was also being played on TV just another channel) so there wasn't many people there.. So we shut the computers down and put our cougars top on and went down to the Marriott Center which is 2 minutes down the road..

Because there was not many people there we could get a photo with the University's Mascot COSMO... it doesn't look like it but Eden loves Cosmo...

the dedicated cheer squad..

I guess the rest of the cheerleaders were at the other game... At one of the "time out" they ask some small kids if they would like to do the chicken dance with them..
I made Eliza go down on the court with Eden...( my camera ran out of battery)....

They even had some half time entertainment....
BYU won the game and we are going to the Men's game on the weekend.. I think it's a sellout game so it should be crazy.....
When we left the students have started to pitch their tents outside the gates for Saturday's game so they can get a seat in the student section which is released on the day...
They Love their sport's here..

Well last week was Eden's birthday, but i didn't post about the cake.. The shops here have amazing big and small cakes, with whatever you want... We thought when we took Eden to pick out her cake that she would choose a Barbie or Princess one...
But No she picked a Toy Story one.. it's was one of the smaller and plainer ones.. but she was happy..

After dinner we decided to go to the Ice Hockey game.. It was fun and we liked it that much we are going back this Friday...

Basketball season is nearly finished or all the tickets are gone, so i guess Ice hockey is our new sport for a while....

Threeee...

Eden turned 3 this week.... She didn't wake up til late, don't blame her I'd sleep in if i could...
Since living in the States she has turned into a Princess freak and loves anything to do with Princess's.. For her birthday she got a Tinkerbell scooter, princess and the frog doll and a pack of small Disney Princess...
She sat and played with them all day.. I think i will have to go back and buy the other pack..

We went down for a walk ( well we drove and park in the car park ) and picked up Gaz from school as it's still really cold...
She also enjoyed her many phone calls and even a Skype from her boyfriend....

We were playing to go out for dinner, but we live with "Gary tight pants" so instead we are going to our favourite restaurant for lunch the next day as it is cheaper...
Good work Gaz....
Yes we did have cake and I forget to load the photo so that will have to be a different post..
We finished the night by going to an BYU Ice Hockey game .. Which is another post too..

April not February.....

Before we left Tasmania my friend Lisa King asked me if I would go and visit her friend April...So today Eden and myself went for a 20 minute drive to Spanish Fork... Just like Lisa , April has a brand new house... and its right next to the chapel.....

Lisa gave me some gifts to give to April.. Of course Vegiemite was one of the items... It was funny April asking questions and tasting it...April liked it and said that Becky (Lisa's other Amercian friend, who didn't like it at all) was a whoos.......
April thought it smelt a bit like soya sauce.. It's was a little bit funny

I think that Caleb really liked his Tasmanian Devil toy from Noah....

We had a nice lunch and talked about a variety of things from how cheap the food is to how the wards are different here from home....

I loved meeting Mitchell and learning how they say words here... I also had a crash course on superhero's and i think Mitchell liked playing with my squishy arms...

I hope to have lots more visit with April and so the rest off our families can meet as well.......

THANK YOU April, Caleb and Mitchell for spending the day with US!!!!!

Brigham City...

On the weekend we made or one of many trips down to Brigham City... It's a two hour drive from Provo, so this was our firsy BIG drive in our minivan... Coming from a 2 sedan family, the girls were loving the room.....
And it even has lots of room in the front too......

Which lane will Gaz stay in... He has another 5 to chose from.......

Brigham City is getting their temple bulit at the moment... We were happy to see some of the corner stones up... they have spent months building the underground car park....
But the real reason we come to Brigham is... to see one off the nicest couple in the world....
Wesley and Norma Marble, they were serving a mission in Adelaide the same time Gary was... We have been lucky enough to visit them a couple of times before and they were so happy when we told them that we would be moving closer to them for a while...
We love spending time with them and look forward to lots more trips to Brigham City...

Our Australia Day...

When I took the grils to school is was a bit cloudy and cold, but by the time 10am came round it was snowing lightly, by 10:15 it was snowing heavily.....
The Snow is so pretty and I love taking photos when everything is covered in snow... Driving in the snow is a completely different subject..

These are the trees just around our building....

Kiss the snowman Eden "just like ya kiss Kobe's".......

Most of the snow has melted and it's only been a day...

Hope everyone had a great day, whatever you were doing.....

Oh Dear.....

During the week we found a deer sitting in our backyard..... We were running around wondering what to do, as even though we live close to the mountains, we are also surrounded by roads....
But apparently they wander around all the time.....As one person said to me this week....
" Only panic when you see a Bear or Cougar in the backyard".....
There was a REAL Cougar wandering through Utah University this week.....
